As we work towards our mission of creating value through real estate, we look to build practices into our work that will make our communities better places to live.

PAID VOLUNTEER DAYS

All team members are encouraged to use up to 2 days to volunteer at a 501(c)(3) of their choice. This allows us to support the communities we work in and learn about efforts outside of our immediate area. Often departments will volunteer together as a group, providing the opportunity for team building as well! We have seen team members work at food kitchens, animal shelters, clean up parks, provide fundraising event support, delivering meals and more. No matter where they choose to volunteer, we love seeing our team members give back!

GREEN BUILDING

We believe that sustainable communities and sustainable business are one in the same. That’s why we support sustainability through the following efforts:

  • Constructing LEED/Enterprise Green certified buildings
  • Constructing Wisconsin Green Built Homes certified buildings
  • Developing urban infill sites
  • Building multi-family properties with high density, thereby detracting from urban sprawl
  • Rehabilitating historic buildings
  • Recycling construction materials whenever possible
  • Using Energy Star rated appliances and, water and electricity saving fixtures in our apartment homes

Our employees and trade partners receive training and education on eco-friendly building techniques to stay up-to-date. The LEED/Green Enterprise rating systems are the national standards for design, construction and operation of green buildings.
